The Board of Directors of Diagramme will award its 2024 Prize to Adrien Bussy, co-managing director and director of development at José Navas/Compagnie Flak, in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the evolution of the company. Adrien stands out for the consistency with which he has accompanied this major choreographer and performer of contemporary dance in Quebec, while managing the organization in a rigorous and responsible manner. His leadership was particularly crucial during the pandemic, when he devoted himself to supporting emerging artists. His commitment to young people and his tireless work in promoting the vital role of development agents are testaments to his generosity and vision for the dance community. Finally, the jury emphasized that Adrien’s contribution to the development of dance in Quebec has helped the discipline shine at home and abroad.

Adrien Bussy has been active in the Quebec arts scene for over 15 years. He became co-general manager and director of development at José Navas/Compagnie Flak (Montreal, Canada) after a period as general manager of Sinha Danse. His studies in arts management and his commitment to the dance community have given him a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing the dance field, both locally and internationally. He brings solid expertise in creative organization management, production direction, and international development.
He mentors emerging artists through initiatives that support their development and improve working conditions for performers. He is a co-founder of CAMP (Creative Agent-Manager-Producer, 2016-2021), an international, participatory initiative fostering knowledge co-production and promoting sustainable growth among creative agents and producers. From 2016 to 2019, Adrian served on the board of directors of the Regroupement québécois de la danse, and since 2024, has been a board member of Fôve Diffusion.
Through his commitment and networking skills, Adrien is known for his professionalism, the quality of the relationships he establishes, and the values of sharing and cooperation that he tirelessly applies to the advancement of dance.
